Sunshine Charter Academy of Broward, Inc. is governed by an independent governing board made up of a group of diverse Florida based individuals. The SunEd High governing board is a collaborative group responsible for the legal and financial obligations of the school. As well, they establish policy consistent with the school’s mission while ensuring that the programs and operations of the school are faithful to the terms of the charter.

The Governing Board of SunEd High Schools, Sunshine Charter Academy of Broward, Inc. d/b/a SunEd High of North Broward, SunEd High of South Broward and SunEd High of Hollywood, holds meetings four times per year. The purpose of these meetings is to consider various school matters including budget, operations, and academic outcomes.
The public is invited to participate. Any member of the public that would like to address the Board will be given consideration to do so by the Board only if the person submits a ‘request to speak’ form at least twenty- four (24) hours in advance of the meeting. The request to speak form must be delivered timely to the attention of the Governing Board at 1117 Banks Road, Margate, FL 33063.

SunEd High is classified as a SIR (School Improvement Rating) School. Therefore, the school receives a school improvement rating based on the percentage of students tested and the performance growth of each student during testing. State Assessments are mandatory for all schools and require participation for all qualified students. Attendance is crucial for schools to meet these requirements.
